Ann Mortifee’s exceptional, four-octave voice has thrilled and delighted hundreds of thousands of people.

The first ones to hear it were teenaged school friends, who dared their talented chum to perform onstage at an open microphone night in a Vancouver, BC coffee house. The rich timbre of her voice and exuberance of her delivery quickly captivated the venue’s seasoned musicians and habitués, who sensed that they were hearing something special.

The theatre community was the next to recognize the beauty and power of her singing. After wowing audiences across Canada, her astounding vocals in an off-Broadway stage show in New York brought Ann to the attention of a major music producer, who arranged for her first solo album to be recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. More albums followed, along with countless reviews by critics who often simply run out of superlatives.

Ann’s career has taken her around the world. She has performed accompanied by her own band and by major symphony orchestras. She performs one woman shows, and has shared the concert stage with some of the music industry’s biggest stars. She has also lent her voice to many charitable and benefit concerts, and helped hundreds of people discover how to express themselves musically in her spirited find your voice workshops. Her largest audience was one half a billion worldwide viewers who thrilled to her solo performance at the Closing Ceremonies at the XV Commonwealth Games in Victoria, BC.
